Family business Vermeulen Europoort has been supplying steel cables, mooring lines, lifting and hoisting materials for over 50 years. The knowledge and skills have been passed on from father to son for several generations. Vermeulen offers continuity to clients, partly through its loyal employees. For many years, Vermeulen has been the address for the supply, maintenance and inspection of steel cables and lifting equipment for the Dutch industry. Thanks to SAP Business One, Vermeulen now has a smooth automated process that extends from quotation to delivery. Entering large orders, which used to take 6 hours, can now be completed in just 5 minutes.

Detailed visibility is always possible, whether it is inventory management, production status or goods delivered and their batch numbers. Sales staff can access customer-specific requirements and appointments from anywhere, including their cell phones.

Management has clear financial dashboards and analyses, which enables them to make adjustments quickly and effectively. Moreover, employees are “self-reliant”; using SAP Business One with B1UP dashboards is intuitive and efficient.
