One cloud-based ALM hub to manage over 1 million assets at scale
Transforming asset lifecycle management in the cloud
To modernise and streamline its asset lifecycle management (ALM) processes, KION partnered with Amista to develop a central CAP Java application on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
The goal: to create a single, cloud-based hub for managing assets efficiently, integrating existing SAP systems, and enabling KION’s developers to maintain and evolve the solution independently.

Why partner with Amista
The success of the ALM transformation was built on close collaboration between KION and Amista. From the very start, our teams worked side by side, combining KION’s deep operational knowledge with Amista’s technical expertise in SAP BTP and cloud-based solutions.
Amista acted not just as a technology provider, but as a hands-on partner, guiding KION through complex integration challenges, offering practical solutions, and sharing best practices. Regular on-site development sessions and structured knowledge transfer ensured that KION’s developers were fully confident to take ownership of the platform after go-live.
