Amista, one of Belgium’s leading SAP implementation partners, today announced that its board of directors appointed Pieter-Jan Deraedt as the new Chief Executive Officer. He takes over from Amista’s co-founder Geert Vanvaerenbergh. Vanvaerenbergh has been at the head of the company since its foundation in 2014 and has an extensive career in application implementations at Oracle, SAP, KPMG, Atos and own start-ups in the digital arena: Optimum & Cernum.
Pieter-Jan Deraedt has been active in the SAP industry since 2009. He started as a consultant before moving into a management and commercial role. During his period as managing partner at Amista, he was leading the Technology & Innovation division which he grew to 35 consultants & developers.
Geert Vanvaerenbergh will operate as chairman of the Boutique Group and Chief Growth Officer, extending the group with new promising initiatives, empowering young high potentials to grow their own ventures under the Boutique umbrella. He will also continue to fulfill his positions as CEO for Boomers and Combo, both subsidiaries of the Boutique Group: “We are at a critical moment in our growth. We reached the magic number of 100 employees, it is time to give them extra career chances and therefore I am the first to give a shot and move on to new challenges myself, allowing high potentials to grow together with the group and me. Pieter-Jan is the right man on the right spot and the right moment to take over and free up management space for our young potentials.”
Deraedt said: “I am honored and excited to have been chosen as Amista’s next CEO. It is a privilege to lead an organization with so many talented and inspiring people. I look forward to continuing and expanding the excellent collaboration with our customers and partners.”
“The partners at Amista join me in thanking Geert Vanvaerenbergh for his dedication and hard work in building our successful company over the past 8 years to bring it where it is today while preparing me for the upcoming growth phase. We will continue our close collaboration within the Boutique Group.”, concludes Pieter-Jan Deraedt.
